Dear Friends and Supporters,
PETER'S NET IS NO LONGER A DREAM – IT'S REALITY!
Last week we were on the island of Tierra Bomba in Cartagena taking delivery
of Peter's Net's first boat, baptised “PEDRO I”. Jorge, his wife Heidy and their 3
children are the fishing family blessed with this boat.
All the inhabitants of the
island came to see the
official launch of the
boat, the first time on
record of any of the
island's inhabitants
taking delivery of a
brand new boat. They
couldn't believe it. All
the children went on
board and enjoyed a
ride round the bay.
The next day, the
fishermen Pedro,
Heder, Jorge and Fausto,
left at five in the morning to go fishing and came back almost at midnight after
a very exhausting day's fishing, but rejoicing after catching over 60 kilos of
fish. The first thing they said was “We need to pay the tithe to the Lord”.
We has excellent meetings with the island's fishermen. America met with the wives and Susana and Carolina led meetings for the children. They were days of happiness and festivities around the Word of God and the first boat of Peter's Net. We believe sincerely that a transformation is coming not only spiritually, but also in the quality of life of these inhabitants of Tierra Bomba. We give thanks to God for the person who donated this first boat and believed in this Peter's Net project, in order to help the population of Tierra Bomba both economically and also spiritually. But this is only the beginning, since we have the vision to buy five more boats plus a building which will serve the island and a Distribution Centre for Peter's Net fish, to enable the fish to be handled to the highest standards and thus enable these families to sell to the mainland.
One of my disciples from Bogotá, Ramiro Jaramillo and his wife Martha have decided to move to Tierra Bomba to help in the administration of the whole project. We thank God for their life and the way in which He has called them. They have got fully involved in the complete project, so I ask your prayer for them.
The process of blessing is beginning and we already see how the inhabitants of
the island are not only experts in matters of the sea, but are rapidly becoming
expert fishers of men.
We need your support to buy the next four boats and completely equip the house we want to buy as the distribution and management centre for the Peter's Net project. If you would like to collaborate with this precious project, each fully equipped boat costs £12,000 and this will bless many families on Tierra Bomba.
